New Black Five Spoke Cast Aluminum wheels reinforce the dark theme of the VRSCD Night Rod, which features a black powdercoated 125-hp Revolution V-Twin engine with highlighted fins and polished covers, black frame, mirrors, hand controls, and other components. Mid-mount controls and highway pegs offer the rider cruising options.

NEW ON VRSC FOR 2008

1250cc Revolution V-Twin engine: Originally designed for the CVO Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod, bore is increased to 105 mm from 100 mm, boosting displacement from 1130 cc to 1250 cc. This engine is tuned to produce up to 125 hp at 8250 rpm and up to 85 ft-lbs. of torque at 7000. The 60-degree Revolution V-Twin engine is liquid-cooled and features Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI), dual overhead cams, four-valve heads, and a five-speed transmission. The engine is rubber-mounted in hydroformed steel perimeter frame. A steel shell covers the large-volume airbox. A 5-gallon fuel tank is located below the seat on all VRSC models.

Slipper Clutch: All 2008 VRSC models have a new clutch with race-bred “slipper” action that helps mitigate drivetrain strain and rear-wheel lock-up during downshifting. Integral with the new clutch design is an assist feature that reduces clutch-lever effort by more than 20 percent.

Optional ABS: For the first time, each VRSC model is available with optional, factory-installed Anti-Lock Braking System (ABS). Designed to work in conjunction with the high-performance Brembo brakes on all VRSC models, this is the most advanced braking system offered on any power cruiser. ABS is designed to help the rider maintain control during emergency stopping situations, especially those that happen in less than ideal conditions. The components of the Harley-Davidson ABS have been designed and packaged to be virtually invisible, preserving the clean custom styling of the area around the wheels. Unlike many motorcycle ABS, Harley-Davidson ABS is a manual, independent system, meaning the rider maintains full, independent control of how much of each brake is applied.

105th Anniversary Edition: A limited-edition, serialized VRSCAW V-Rod 105th Anniversary Edition will be available in 2008 (see separate release for details on the 105th Anniversary package).

HARLEY-DAVIDSON VRSC PLATFORM MUSCLES UP FOR 2008
1250cc Revolution V-Twin with Slipper Clutch on All Models, ABS Now an Option

MILWAUKEE (July 9, 2007) – The Harley-Davidson family of VRSC premium power cruisers will pack more muscle in 2008. All three VRSC models are powered by the 1250cc Revolution liquid-cooled V-Twin engine, a powertrain originally developed for the Screamin’ Eagle V-Rod and now tuned to crank out up to 125 horsepower and 85 ft.-lbs. of torque. To help harness this new-found power, a new slipper clutch is part of the powertrain. And, for the first time, all VRSC models will be available with optional Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS).

As the only Harley-Davidson platform powered by a liquid-cooled V-Twin engine, the VRSC family offers sleek, drag-bike styling and the performance of high-revving horsepower. A low seat height, stretched-out profile with 36-degree fork angle, wide rear tire and premium components like Brembo triple-disc brakes and 49 mm forks, are characteristics of each VRSC model. These are power cruisers that share the performance and technology legacy of the Screamin’ Eagle / Vance & Hines drag racing team, three-time NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle World Champions.

ABS is designed to help you maintain control during emergency stopping situations, especially those that happen in less than ideal conditions, while the new Isolated Drive System enhances accelerating, cruising and shifting.

The Harley-Davidson CVO program creates limited-production, exclusive motorcycles produced by teams of technicians in special assembly areas at the Harley-Davidson plants in York, Pa., and Kansas City. Approximately 3,150 examples of the 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Road King including 1,800 serialized 105th Anniversary models, will be assembled at the York Vehicle Operations facility. The suggested U.S. retail price for the 2008 Screamin’ Eagle Road King is $29,290 ($29,390 in California). The 105th Anniversary package adds $495.

The Screamin’ Eagle Road King has the largest-displacement Harley-Davidson production engine, the 110-cubic inch (1800cc) Twin Cam 110, a high-performance V-Twin engine delivering 115 ft. lbs. of torque at 3000 rpm. For 2008, the Twin Cam 110 displays a new Granite finish. Electronic Sequential Port Fuel Injection (ESPFI) is standard, along with a custom oil cooler with chrome cover, and chrome cross-over dual exhaust with four-inch touring mufflers and chrome billet end caps. The engine is joined to the 6-speed Cruise Drive transmission for lower cruising rpm in top gear.

Among the enhancements to the Screamin’ Eagle Road King are a new electronic throttle control technology for adjustment-free riding, revised mirrors and a new riser cover with indicator lights. The new six-gallon Touring fuel tank, which provides outstanding fuel range, is combined with a new console, gasket and granite colored emblem with hammered finish. The custom leather seat, backrests and saddlebags receive a new design, while new trim chrome strips flow with the bike on the side covers.

The chrome-and-rubber Ironside accessories collection includes hand grips, rider footboards, passenger pegs, Mustache engine guard pads, shift pegs and brake pedal pad. A tail lamp in the classic “tombstone” shape remains exclusive to the Screamin’ Eagle Road King. Chrome, Road Winder Forged Aluminum wheels carry 130 mm front and 170mm rear, radial tires. Touring features include electronic cruise control, Mustache Engine Guard with rubber boot pads, an accessory power outlet, and a quick-detachable smoked windscreen.

The Screamin’ Eagle Road King will be offered in three exclusive color combinations: 105th Anniversary Crystal Copper and Black Onyx (serialized models); Twilight Blue and Candy Cobalt with Ghost Flame graphics; and Black Diamond and Silver Dust with Ghost Flame graphics. Frame and swingarm colors are matched with each paint scheme. 2008 Harley-Davidson VRSCAW/A V-Rod

Descendant of the original V-Rod that helped launch the power-cruiser segment, the VRSCAW V-Rod rolls on a huge 240 mm rear tire, with forward controls and pull-back welded handlebar. The new 1250cc liquid-cooled Revolution V-Twin engine sends 121 peak horsepower and 84 ft.-lbs. of peak torque to that brawny rear tire in 2008. The Brushed Aluminum Profile Laced front wheel is new for 2008.

VRSCAW/A V-Rod features:

2005 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Classic FLHTC/FLHTCI

2005 Harley-Davidson Road Glide Classic FLHTC/FLHTCI

The day we built this one, the world officially became a better place. The Electra Glide® Classic was designed on the premise that the long haul shouldn’t have to feel like one. We started with pure Harley-Davidson styling, then added on all the necessities for putting on big miles. Like hard bags and a Tour-Pak® luggage box, 40-watts-per-channel sound with standard CD, big floorboards and a comfort-stitch saddle with passenger backrest. We wanted every inch of the ride to be perfect. So we gave it an air-adjustable suspension, triple-disc brakes, and a fork-mounted batwing fairing complete with all the instruments. In fact, all that’s left is for you to fire up the powerful, reliable EFI or carbureted Twin Cam 88® engine and start taking full advantage of this ever-improving piece of real estate.

2005 Harley-Davidson Ultra Classic Electra Glide FLHTCUI

Throw a leg over an Ultra Classic® Electra Glide® touring bike and it’s like having one boot in the east, one in the west, and you are ruler of all lands in between. We start with a comfort-stitched saddle and passenger backrest, should you choose not to rule alone. Hard bags and King Tour-Pak®. 40-watts-per-channel, 4-speaker AM/FM/CD. Electronic passenger controls. Built-in C.B./voice-activated intercom. Cruise control. A new tank badge. In other words, the whole shebang. But even with all the goodies, this is still a Harley-Davidson® motorcycle at heart. Thumb the starter and the EFI Twin Cam 88® engine instantly declares its time-honored rumble. This year, the fairing lowers get a new venting system to keep the legs cool. So no matter where you are in the world, even the wind is at your command.

2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Custom FLHRS/FLHRSI

2005 Harley-Davidson Road King Custom FLHRS/FLHRSI

For 2005, the Road King® Custom model makes its second appearance, and one year has done nothing to mellow its in-your-face style and attitude. When this machine first hit the streets, the riding public couldn’t take its eyes off the minimalist swept-back chrome visor perched atop a set of pullback beach bars. Moving back, you’ll find this custom bagger is dressed up right. Clean leather bags with hidden supports. Slash-cut mufflers. Electro-formed, chromed metal fuel tank emblems. Big, clean front and rear fenders. Rounding off the sweet look are streamlined footboards, passenger pegs, brake pedal, cast and chromed slotted alloy wheels and a tank-mounted stretch chrome console. Though the Road King® Custom has much for the eye to see, it was built to see the country. You get a lowered, air-adjustable rear suspension, refined chassis, and the proven Twin Cam 88® engine, available in carb or EFI. For when you’re ready to stop looking, and start going.
