2009 Benelli Tornado Tre 1130

2009 Benelli Tornado Tre 1130

A frame designed and developed for racing meets a never ending engine!

With a power and torque perfectly suited to the frame characteristics this bike is destined for elite motorcyclists with high demands.

Project

“A swell of performance”

The Tornado’s frame has been completely revised to meet the new power and torque characteristic of the engine, without loosing any input from the original Tornado project.

REAR RADIATOR
This is one of the characterizing features of the Tornado.
50% of the weight is distributed to the front chasis of the bike in all riding conditions.
The advantage being increased precision when riding and when entering bends.

REAR SUSPENSION
The shock absorber and the links have benefitted from recent racing experience.
The measurements have been slightly modified to make the frame easier to manage adapting it to the new increased power and torque values.

FRAME
Some small improvements, for example the welding system and tube assembly are now more accurate.
The aluminum plates have been modified to make the Tornado 1130 more enjoyable and satisfying to ride.

A fully new bike for a new way of ride from the research and development dept. A new product for exclusive adventures.

FRAME
The frame is designed to resist every shock in any situation. An easy ride and sensitivity to reactions were the targets of Benelli’s technicians during the project. New geometry for new adventures.

FRONT RADIATOR
The new position of the radiator allows high thermal exchanges at low speed and during off road use. All made to improve reliability. The new frame is suited to the new requirements. The new shape guarantees an easy ride and a ride neutrality, both being unique features for a bike in this class.

REAR SUSPENSION
The rear end is designed to guarantee the best stability and the easiest way to ride without loosing comfort or suspension reaction. The TRE 1130 K is safe to ride in any conditions.

2009 Street Triple R

Following on from the phenomenally successful Street Triple, Triumph is
introducing a new, higher-specification version for 2009 – the Street Triple R.
With the Street Triple already regarded as the class-leading middleweight
streetfighter, the ‘R’ version takes the standard bike and adds race track
technology. Fully-adjustable 41mm upside down forks and a top-spec rear
monoshock unit with piggy back reservoir deliver sublime handling, while radiallymounted
four piston calipers grab the twin 308mm brake discs and ensure the
Street Triple R stops as well as it goes.

At the heart of Street Triple R is the Street Triple’s highly-acclaimed fuel-injected
675cc three-cylinder unit, producing 108PS at 11,700rpm, while its fully
adjustable sports suspension and powerful four-piston radial brakes are derived
from the award-winning, 2008 Daytona 675. The new Street Triple R has been
designed to rival traditional supersport machines with its superlative handling and
stunning stopping power, while offering the comfort and attitude of a
streetfighter. The sporty feel is completed with wide, tapered aluminium
handlebars from Magura and a 5mm taller seat height that puts the Street Triple
R rider in the perfect position to attack the twisty stuff or cut its way through the
urban jungle.

Completing the Street Triple R’s distinctive look are two all-new exclusive colour
schemes: Matt Graphite with orange graphics and Matt Blazing Orange with grey
graphics (the latter will be available from January 2009). Both colour options are
further enhanced by black anodised forks and a two-tone black and graphite seat.
The new Street Triple R will be available in September and priced at £6,099*.

2009 Triumph Tiger Special Edition

2009 Triumph Tiger Special Edition

The Tiger namesake has stood the test of time at Triumph
Motorcycles. While the Tiger’s spec sheet has changed considerably over the years, the bike itself has
always been synonymous with free-spirited travel.

The 2009 Triumph Tiger SE pays tribute to the generations of riders who have created their own
adventures aboard a Tiger. The Special Edition model begins with the ABS (anti-lock braking system)
version of the Triumph Tiger and adds a distinctive new matte graphite and matte black two-tone paint
scheme with color-matched saddle bags and hand guards.

The Tiger SE’s unique color scheme was inspired by one of Triumph’s most cherished employee
benefits: the privilege of specifying a bike with custom paint. The Triumph design team was experimenting with different colors and found that the combination worked so well with the lines of the Tiger that the factory decided to make it available on the limited edition Tiger SE.

“The Tiger has received rave reviews for being one of the best all-around bikes on the market,”
said Jim Callahan, North American Marketing Manager for Triumph Motorcycles. “The new Tiger SE’s custom matte graphite and black paint really sets the bike apart from the other motorcycles in its class. It looks fantastic, so you’ll want to hurry while they’re still in stock.”

The Tiger’s current platform was first introduced in 1994 and has evolved into a well-rounded sport
touring motorcycle that is perfect for cutting through the urban jungle, devouring highway miles and
carving through challenging mountain passes.

The Tiger is powered by Triumph’s highly-acclaimed 1050cc three-cylinder engine that delivers
113hp at 9,400rpm and 74 ft. lbs. of torque at 6,250rpm. An adjustable sport suspension and 120
front/180 rear sport tires mounted on 17-inch wheels are combined with powerful Nissin brakes for
exceptional, confidence-inspiring handling.

Comfort has always been a strong point for the Tiger. Both the rider and passenger benefit from
great ergonomics, excellent wind protection and rubber mounted handle bars and foot pegs. Hard saddle bags and luggage are available as well as a tank bag, heated grips and a host of other accessories.

Triumph has transformed its popular Tiger adventure-sport model with the unveiling of a striking new special edition at the INTERMOT motorcycle show, held in Cologne, Germany.

Taking the ABS version of the Tiger as its base, the SE features a distinctive new Matt Graphite and Matt Black colour scheme. Priced in the region of £9,000 OTR this new flagship to the Tiger family has even more versatility thanks to the addition of colour-matched panniers (with a combined capacity of 44 litres) and handguards as standard.

The two-tone colour scheme enhances the standard Tiger’s looks with an air of classic British sophistication and was inspired by one of Triumph’s company employee benefits: being able to specify a bike with non-standard colours. As Simon Warburton, Triumph’s Product Manager, explains, “Some of the design team were trying out different bodywork colours and while changing panels over they noticed that the combination of Matt Black and Matt Graphite worked really well. From this we developed the unique two-tone scheme that you see, which expresses the individuality of the special edition model perfectly.”

First introduced in 1994 as a versatile dual-purpose machine, the Tiger has evolved into the complete all-rounder that can tour, commute and scratch in equal measures. The Tiger’s commanding off-road style upright riding position is perfect for cutting through the urban jungle, devouring motorway miles and carving through challenging mountain passes.

The latest incarnation of the Tiger is powered by Triumph’s highly-acclaimed 1050cc three-cylinder engine, delivering peak power of 115PS (113bhp) at 9,400rpm and 100Nm (74ft.lbf) torque at 6,250rpm. Adjustable sports suspension and 120 front/180 rear sports tyres combined with powerful radial front caliper Nissin brakes endow the Tiger with the agility, handling and braking to let you fully exploit the potent triple. The 20 litre fuel tank provides a realistic 200 mile (320km) range, adding to the Tiger’s practicality and touring ability.

The Tiger SE will be produced in limited numbers and will be in official Triumph dealerships from Spring 2009.

The standard Tiger remains unchanged and continues to be available with or without ABS, in three colour options for 2009: Fusion White, Jet Black and Blazing Orange.
